The Internet Authority of China, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), has recently banned the registration service of any kinds of domain names for individual use. However, it will not applicable for businessmen and business uses. Recently Chinese websites are being over flowed by vulgar contents. To get rid of that problem this new rule has been applied. Not only new users current users are also facing problems when accessing their sites.

Google’s words about the Chromium OS open source project

Last July Google announced to make Google Chrome OS, an open source operating system for internet loving users. Today Google announced to open-sourcing the project as Chromium OS. It’s almost a year before the final version released.

In Google Language:

“Today we are open-sourcing the project as Chromium OS. We are doing this early, a year before Google Chrome OS will be ready for users, because we are eager to engage with partners, the open source community and developers. As with the Google Chrome browser, development will be done in the open from this point on. This means the code is free, accessible to anyone and open for contributions. The Chromium OS project includes our current code base, user interface experiments and some initial designs for ongoing development. This is the initial sketch and we will color it in over the course of the next year.”

The open source OS Ubuntu is being popular day by day. Recently they launched their 9.10 version. All things can be done on Ubuntu that can be done on a MS OS . Today we’ll see how to download You-Tube Videos on Ubuntu.

Firstly Go to the Terminal, then write the following code:

sudo apt-get install youtube-dl ffmpeg

It will ask for password. Provide it and wait for a while. Then enter the code given below:

youtube-dl -o name.flv “http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjN5avRvApk”

In the code just replace the file name you want to save the file as with name.flv and put your desired videos link code after watch?v=

Now to convert the file to .avi format write the code below:

ffmpeg -i name.flv name.avi

Piriform, the makers of Recuva , Defraggler and CCleaner, launched another product “Speccy”. This free tool is for getting values of different hardware (like Ram, HDD, Processor etc), OS, cards and all. Actually it is a system specification tool, that gives detailed information about the hardware that is powering the computer.

Speccy can show real-time data like the temperature of the processor and ram. It can also show the temperature of different cores of processor. It also provides clock speed , BUS speed and others necessary information which windows can’t. Good thing is Speccy comes in portable edition too.
